Cripes its been a long time (13 months) how very remiss of me. The farm is still here, and even more Herefords are on that farm. Harvest is nearly done, still 35 acres of beans to cut and that might be today. Later this morning wheat seed should arrive and with a following wind we should have most of it planted this week !!
A short blog I know, but its a start, I had almost forgotten this existed, untill reminded by Heather Gorringe wigglywigglers.co.uk , so thanks Heather.

- Tim farms a mixed beef and grain farm in the beautiful South Shropshire hills. The farm produces wheat, barley, oilseed rape, oats and grass. The grassland feeds beef cattle which are all Hereford crosses valued for their superior eating quality. The river Corve runs through the farm and with a small tributary add up to 5 kilometers of river bank. This is currently part of a conservation plan to coppice the riverbank trees and keep the cattle out of the river with new fencing. Tim is a second generation farmer, his father not coming from a farming background. Sue is married to Tim and they have a little boy called Charlie, a terrier called Tag, two horses and rare breed chickens and a cat called JaJaBinks.

I'd like to know about Herefords - why are they so good - why aren't they so good, and WHY wont Farmer Phil just get on and get some!!
